Technical field of the invention
The present invention relates generally to a shoelace for easier lacing of shoes by a user who finds its application on a low shoe, orthopedic shoe or the like. Although the invention is described below with reference to a shoelace for a shoe, in the context of the invention shoelace is generally understood to be an elongated element, the end regions of which can be bound to form a firm and releasable connection, for example a loop.
State of the art
Shoes are essentially formed from a sole and a shaft, which has a shaft opening through which on the one hand a foot of a user can be inserted and executed and which can be changed so that the foot is held in the shoe in an adapted manner. To appropriately close the opening of the shaft, eyelets or hooks are usually provided, which are formed on both sides of the opening in such a way that the opening is closed by tightening a shoelace threaded therein so that the foot is held in an adapted manner.
Users, especially toddlers and the disabled, often have great difficulty tying shoelaces to lace a shoe, especially knotting the two end areas to form a loop. Tying, in particular forming a releasable loop, of a shoelace comprises several steps in which the user's hands have both end regions of the elongated element, i.e. of the shoelace, must grip and tie them according to a complex sequence of wraps around a knot and / or a loop, which creates a firm but releasable connection of the two end regions of the shoelace. It is known that markings can be made on the free end portions of the laces to indicate how the laces are to be tied, the U.S. Miller patent 2,646,630 shows a series of markings which facilitate the binding and thus the formation of a loop of laces. However, the tying technique still requires that a user grasp both ends of the shoelace with both hands throughout the tying sequence.
An object of the present invention is to provide a shoelace which connects the individual steps for tying a shoelace to a connection, e.g. a loop, facilitated by a user, it being provided that the ends of the shoelace can be looped around one another more slowly and with greater certainty in order to form a firm and releasable connection.
A particular object of the present invention is to provide a shoelace that can be tied by the user with one hand according to a corresponding method.
These tasks are accomplished with a shoelace with the features of claim 1 and a method according to claim 11. Preferred variants and embodiments emerge from the dependent claims.
According to the invention, a shoelace is provided for easier lacing and tying, which is designed as an elongated element with a first end region with a first end and a second end region with a second end. The shoelace according to the invention comprises an elongated core element and a tubular lacing sleeve, the core element having one or more core threads which are at least partially covered by the tubular lacing sleeve. According to the invention, the core element comprises a flexible core thread in the end region. According to one embodiment, at least one bend behavior, i.e. Bending stiffness to understand, which corresponds to that of a silver wire with a diameter of 0.4 to 3 mm. The core element preferably has an elasticity which corresponds to that of a silver wire with a diameter of 0.4 to 3 mm and is therefore equal to or greater than 80,000 N / mm 2. The flexible core thread can be made of silver wire, metal wire or of another material which is suitable in terms of bending behavior and elasticity.
Due to the elasticity and bending properties of the first end region, it is possible to temporarily fix the second end region at the first end region, in particular frictionally, so that the user can connect both ends of the shoelace with one hand, i.e. knot or tie into a loop.
The shoelace according to the invention is designed so that when the shoelace is threaded in, the user can use one hand to form the first end region relative to the shoe into a desired position, in particular in a U-shaped arch or holding element, and then the second end region into that can insert or insert u-shaped holding element at the first end region in a desired position, preferably at the closed end of the u-shaped holding element. Thus, the first end region and the second end region are in a defined temporary position relative to one another for tying the shoelace. Then the user ties or in particular ties the second end region to the first end region, the user being able to use any knot provided that it can be tied with one hand.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the shoelace has at least in a section in the first end region the flexible core thread, which is made of a wire-shaped metal, preferably silver, thereby ensuring economical manufacture and long-term applicability of the shoelace.
The diameter of a shoelace is usually in the range of 2 to 8 mm. The flexible core thread of the shoelace preferably has a diameter of 0.4 to 2 mm, in particular 0.8 to 1.4 mm, very particularly preferably approximately 1 mm, in order to ensure sufficient rigidity and flexibility of the first end area for temporary retention of the second end area.
Preferably, the flexible core thread extends in the first end region with a length I, the length I of the flexible core thread being 5 to 25 cm, preferably 15 to 18 cm, particularly preferably 5 to 10 cm. The first end region and thus also the free first end of the shoelace in the constricted state are fixed in relation to the shoe for binding and can be positioned relative to the shoe by bending.
To protect the lace cover from fraying at the ends, the shoelace can have bezel sleeves in the region of the first end and the second end.
The position of the flexible core thread can be determined in the first end region by means of at least one clamping sleeve and a bezel, preferably by means of two clamping sleeves, wherein it is also avoided that ends of the flexible core thread pierce the lace sleeve. The clamping sleeves are also referred to as pink, which hold the flexible core thread in the factory position, in particular they prevent the flexible core thread from shifting in the longitudinal direction of the lace cover within the lace, in particular the lace cover. The sleeve-shaped pinks are preferably made of metal or plastic or a similar material.
The first end region preferably has a holding device for temporarily holding the first end region by the user with respect to the shoe, so that the first end region can be easily and securely positioned using one hand. Furthermore, this holding device provides tactile help for the user in order to recognize the first end region without visual contact and to grasp it with one hand, in particular to temporarily position and / or hold it in relation to the shoe.
In one embodiment, the holding device is designed as a loop and attached to a node at the first end region. The node also prevents the second end region from sliding off if it is knotted or tied to the first end region, in particular an undesired displacement of the second end region in the knotted or bound state in the direction of the first end of the first end region is accordingly prevented.
The following steps are preferably carried out for tying, in particular lacing, a shoe with a laces according to the invention:Bending the first end region of the shoelace threaded into the shoe in the region of the flexible core thread to form a U-shaped arch or holding element;Inserting the second end region into the U-shaped holding element which is formed at the first end region and which can be temporarily fixed therein, andConnecting the second end area to the first end area by means of a node.
Because the second end region can be temporarily fixed at the first end region of the shoelace, it is possible for the user to bind the second end region to the first end region by means of a freely selectable knot. As a result, the user is able to use one hand to tie the two ends of the shoelace to one another in a desired position, in particular to knot and thus tie the shoe and fix it to the foot of the user. In addition, the two ends can be knotted again with one hand, so that the user can take off the shoe again.
Brief description of the drawings
Further details, features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description of a particular embodiment with reference to the drawing.
[0020] The figures show:<tb> Fig. 1 <SEP> is a view of an embodiment of the shoe laces according to the invention;<tb> Fig. 2 <SEP> a top view of a shoe upper with a threaded laces according to the embodiment of FIG. 1.<tb> Fig. 3 <SEP> is a top view of the partially shown shoe upper according to FIG. 2 with a tied shoelace according to FIGS. 1 and 2.<tb> Fig. 4 <SEP> is a cross-sectional view of the shoelace of FIG. 1.
Detailed description of the embodiment of the invention
Figure 1 shows a shoelace 25 according to an embodiment of the invention with a first end portion 1 and a second end portion 2. The shoelace 25 has a diameter of 2 to 8 mm and comprises a core element 8 and a lace cover 9, which is Core element 8 and the lace cover 9 extend over the entire length of the lace 25. The lace cover 9 envelops the core element 8 and is preferably made of cotton, synthetic fiber or mixtures thereof, in rare cases leather. The core element 8 has one or more core threads 8a, 8b, 8c, some of which ensure sufficient tensile strength in the longitudinal direction of the shoelace 25. The core element 8, or the core threads 8a, 8b and 8c, are preferably made of fabric, fiber material, elastic plastic, PVC, metal or a mixture of these materials. The shoelace 25 designed according to the invention comprises, in the region of the first end region 1, one or more flexible core threads, for example core thread 8b, which is wire-shaped and made of metal, in particular silver or steel, with a diameter of 0.4 to 2 mm, e.g. 1 mm. The flexible core thread 8b extends within the first end region 1 with a length l in the direction of the second end region 2. The length l is in the range from 5 to 25 cm, preferably 15 to 18 cm, particularly preferably 5 to 10 cm.
The flexible core thread 8b is held by means of at least one pink or clamping sleeve 4 at a position within the lace cover 9. Furthermore, at the ends of the shoelaces 25, mounting sleeves or pinks 3 and 7 are provided, which prevent the ends from fraying. In the embodiment of the laces 25 shown in FIG. 1, the flexible core thread 8b is held in position on the one hand by the pink / clamping sleeve 4 and on the other hand by the binding sleeve 3 in the first end region 1, damage to the lacing sleeve 9 being prevented by the flexible core thread 8b. Arranged in the first end region 1 on the shoelace 25 is a holding device 6, which is designed as a loop and is fastened, preferably sewn, to a node 5 on the first end region 1. The node 5 serves as a tactile orientation aid for the user and facilitates the formation of a node between the first end area 1 and the second end area 2.
FIG. 2 shows a top view of a shaft 21 of a shoe with the shoelaces 25 inserted into corresponding eyelets 23 according to FIG. 1. Shoes are essentially formed from a sole (not shown) and the shaft 21, which through an opening 27 allows the and inserting a foot (not shown) of the user into the shoe. To close the opening 27 of the shaft 21, the eyelets 23 are formed on both sides of the opening such that the opening can be closed adaptably to the foot by tensioning a threaded laces 25. The laces 25 can be threaded into the eyelets 23 using different lacing methods. In the illustrated embodiment, a so-called shop lacing is used. As can be seen in FIG. 2, the first end region 1 is formed into a U-shaped arch or holding element by means of the flexible core thread 8b, the node 5 being arranged in the region of the bend. The U-shaped holding element is used to temporarily fix the second end region 2. The second end region can preferably be temporarily fixed in the U-shaped holding element of the first end region 1.
Figure 3 shows a partial view of the representation of Figure 2. The first end region 1 and the second end region 2 are connected to each other by means of a node 12, which is preferably between one of the eyes 23 and the node 5 and thus at the end of the first End region 1 facing away from the first end region 1 is arranged. Thus, when the shaft 21 is loaded, for example when the user is walking, a displacement of the knot 12 and thus an unwanted widening of the opening 27 is prevented.
Figure 4 shows a cross section of the shoelace 25 according to Figure 1. In the present embodiment, the core element 8 radially encompassed by the sheath 9 has the core threads 8a, 8b and 8c, 8b being the flexible core thread made of a wire-shaped metal. The core element 8 can of course have further core threads. The core threads 8a and 8c preferably extend continuously between the two ends of the shoelace 25, or between the two casing sleeves 3 and 7, in order to ensure sufficient tensile strength in the longitudinal direction of the shoelace 25.
